THE PATRIOTNever letting go
holding on to that last straw
not hesitating to say no
to each and every against the law
having many a foe
some searching for just one flaw
others marvel at honesty so.
Pesvering against all odds
believing that a reward might come
one day he might be called
even so vowing not to keep mum
refusing to be bribed
ridiculed by not just some
yet still exposing all fraud
Days turn into months
months into years
age is no longer a friend
poverty still a close companion
as the inevitable occurs
a funeral is held
the lost hero heralded
using the best coffin
the most expensive gravestone
and the most loving words
by the very people spoken against
vieled expressions of sadness
Forgotten in LIFERemembered at DEATH.
ALL TRUE

OXYMORIOUS LIFE
Life is full of opposites
Though the opposites help to create a balance
A WONDER, still it is.
Where the poor aspire to be rich
And the rich willing to give all for happiness
A SHAME, though it is.
The blacks hustle to get bleached
The whites go to the beach to get tanned
Each desiring the other's personality
An ILLUSION, here it is.
In a night of wonder
One begins to ponder
Of hopes, here yonder
Still making no blunder
In putting dreams asunder
And reality kept under
Of the falacy the heart grows fonder
Embracing a farce
And living a lie
A PHENOMENON, alas it is.
Nothing here to gain
Even in putting in as much pain
Leaving one in disdain
For every who may be in lane
A TRAGEDY, maybe it is.
The obese keeping a tight diet
The lean on an eating spree
Each fighting for another's stature
UNFAIR, even yes it is.
The prince in search of rags
the pauper in a quest for kingly robes
The former looking for freedom
The latter for stardom
IRONICAL,obviously it is.
Howbeit if all could be switched
each getting their dreans and desires
Would all be happy again?
Will balance at last be restored?
Will the selfish desires of man be quenched?
Alas all will not be balanced
Not all will be happy again
For the selfish desires of man cannot be quenched
The poor will once again desire their penury
The whites will want their complexion once again
The prince not fogetting is affluence
All is just one cycle
Why I believe, the earth is spherical
This i call the real balance
An OXYMORIOUS LIFE it is. Isn't it?
